National Science Day was celebrated on February 28, 2022. This was done with a motive to help the students to communicate their ideas, understand different processes of concepts of the subject and make predictions. On behalf of National Science Day celebration, science working model competition was conducted. Total of 66 (12 teams) Final B.Sc. Students actively participated and presented significant working science models. Mrs. Madhu P. Babli and Mrs. Kalyani Mohanty, Lecturer in Physics, Canara Pre-University College were the chief guests and judged working model competition. Two teams who constructed Tesla coil and Earthquake indicator won the first and second prize respectively and consolation prizes were given to all other teams. Dr. Premalatha V, Principal and staff of other basic science departments visited during the competition.
The programme began with the prayer by the students. Mrs. Sukhalatha introduced the guests and Dr. Yashodhara I delivered the vote of thanks. The whole programme was guided by Dr. Asha Kiran Pakkala, Head, Department of Physics.
