Guest lecture on “Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for Sustainable Future” on March 10, 2022 in Smt. Ratna S. Shenoy Memorial Seminar Hall at 9.30 a.m.
Dr. Shreesha Bhat, Assistant Professor of Physics, Vivekananda College, Putturu and Managing Director of Akanksha Charitable Trust, Putturu, was the resource person. In this talk, he gave an insight on the theme “Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for Sustainable Future”. He briefed about Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) also known as the Global Goals that were adopted by the UN in 2015 as a Universal Call to take action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that by 2030, all people enjoy peace and prosperity. He motivated the students to take project an SDG’s and ensured them to provide guidance and support.
In his concluding remark he said “the essence of science and technology is to contribute to society through the creation of new knowledge and then utilization of that knowledge to boost the prosperity of human lives”.
Dr. Premalatha V., Principal, in her presidential remark appreciated the convenors for organizing the event and asked the students to make the best use of it.
Ms. Nikitha of II PMC welcomed the gathering. Ms. Disha of II PCM, introduced the guest. Ms. Shravyashree of II BZC invoked the blessings of Almighty. Vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Kavana, II PCM. Ms. Vikitha V., Student Convenor of Science Association compered the programme. Staff Convenors of Science Association, Mrs. Pushpanjali S. and Mrs. Poornima, were present for the programme.
Altogether 55 students participated in the programme.
