Students from the Centre for PG Studies in Commerce performed a street play in celebration of ‘World Consumer Day’ at City Centre Mall, Mangalore on March 13, 2022. The play was performed twice during the Mall’s peak hours, at 5.30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. by a total of 13 students. Checking the ISI mark when buying gold, receiving bill/invoices after every transaction, not sharing OTP with unknown entities, checking expiry dates of food items, and so on are among the themes covered. The objective of the street play was to create awareness among consumers regarding their duties and consumer rights and to boost students’ self- confidence. The audience was enthralled by the performance.
