Luncheon Celebration of NAAC A & A Outcome (Cycle IV)

A long felt desire turned to be a fulfilling one; and
What seemed next to impossible for some testified to be a possible one for all!!!”

Following the successful onsite NAAC Peer Team Visit to the College which was held on March 30 and 31, 2022 the NAAC, Bengaluru in its 100th Meeting of the Standing Committee held on April 05, 2022 recommended the accreditation outcome.

It is indeed a matter of great pride and honor for the Institute that it has been successfully and progressively accredited with ‘A’ Grade with 3.21 CGPA by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for Fourth Cycle A & A. To commemorate this momentous and joyous occasion, a “Luncheon Celebration of NAAC A & A Outcome (Cycle IV)” was hosted by the Cnara High School Association on Thursday, April 07, 2022 at 1:15 PM in Sri Mizar Govinda Pai Memorial Hall, Canara Higher Primary School, Urwa, Mangaluru.

While thanking the Almighty for this remarkable achievement, the Correspondent, Sri CA M. Jagannath Kamath said – “This is a historic and golden moment in the 49-year career of the Institute. This is the first time in the history of the College that it has obtained ‘A’ Grade after having undergone three earlier Cycles of NAAC Accreditations. Special thanks to all the Stakeholders involved in this entire process. The current outcome of the A & A and grading will certainly enhance the academic prestige of the Institute”.

The Honorary Secretary of Canara High School Association Sri M. Ranganath Bhat while congratulating all the responsible for this impressive accomplishment, said – “The impressive outcome of the A & A has indeed added a new feather in the Institute’s Cap and its yet another significant milestone of securing the coveted grade from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in the Fourth Cycle A & A. Securing of the higher grade confirms that the Institute is committed to the cause of quality culture and it has been rightly reflected in the transformation and incremental improvements made over the years. NAAC Accreditation is a stepping stone for the Institution. Furthermore, the NAAC Grade instills great confidence among all stakeholders including students, their parents, faculty and all involved. I am sure that while going forward, the ‘A’ grade will certainly open many opportunities for the Institution to explore and excel. Indeed a proud moment for the Institute and its Stakeholders”.

While expressing his elatedness over the outcome, the Vice President of Canara High Association Sri M. Padmanabha Pai said – “This milestone for the Institution reflects the sheer commitment and untiring efforts by all the members of the Institution and I hope the Institution will continue to continuously strive towards its greater glory. As the Institute leaps forward to celebrate its golden jubilee, the outcome of the Fourth Cycle A & A will certainly be morale booster for all and add more vigor and spirit in meaningfully celebrating the illustrious legacy and glorious existence of the Institute since five decades”.

The Manager of the Institute Sri K. Shivanand Shenoy too was graciously present during the occasion.

The Principal Dr. Premalatha V., welocmed the gathering and also handed over the NAAC Peer Team Report to the Correspondent and Manager. The IQAC and NAAC Steering Coordinators Mrs. Dejamma A., shared the memorable experience of the entire NAAC A & A Journey; while Mr. Hardik P. Chauhan with joyful and grateful hearts proposed the vote of thanks and acknowledged all the Stakeholders who made this outcome a fulfilling one. Ms. Anusha Shet, Student, III B.Com. rendered the prayer song. Mrs. Rithika S. Das, Faculty, Dept. of English, compered the programme.

The celebration witnessed the joyous participation of the Members of the Governing Council of Canara High School Association, Members of the Alumni and Parent representatives, Heads of all the Sister Institutions, Former Principal Dr. K. V. Malini, Retired Staff, Well Wishers, Special Invitees, Staff and Students. The formal programme was then followed with a fellowship lunch. Nearly 320 members graced the occasion and shared in the Institute’s joy.

The Stakeholders joyfully poured in the words of appreciation, congratulated for the impressive accomplishment and securing the coveted grading, and wished well for the future endeavors. On the whole, it was a joy-filled occasion that made the celebration worthwhile to cherish for everyone.
