The Workshop on “Be an Entrepreneur –Become an Employer” organized by Government of Karnataka was held on May 12, 2022 from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm at TMA Pai International Convention Centre. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr Murugesh R Nirani. In his inaugural address, he briefed the students on various opportunities available to educate youngsters about the initiatives the state offers and to motivate budding entrepreneurs. Technical sessions on “Entrepreneur-Manifest the Best” by Sri Mahesh Masal, Human Mindset Coach, Direct CONNECT, Dharwad, “Sectoral Opportunities: Food Processing” by Sri Ng. Iboyaima Singh, Chief Scientist, CFTRI, Mysuru, “Sectoral Opportunities: Tourism Sector” by Mr. Yathish Baikampady, Former CEO of Beach Tourism, Development Project, Mangaluru, “Sectoral Opportunities: Fisheries Sector” by Dr S M Shivaprakasha, Former Dean, College of Fisheries, Mangaluru, “Introduction to IT Technology and Innovation” by Sri Suhas Gopinath, Chairman and CEO, Global Inc, Member, National Expert Advisory Committee on Innovation, Govt. of India was organized. An insight on Government schemes and policies was provided by Sri H M Srinivas, Additional Director, Industries and Commerce Department. Sri Doddabasavaraju, Managing Director, Karnataka Udyoga Mitra through his closing remarks concluded the workshop. 50 students were benefitted from this webinar.
