World Environment Day Celebration was celebrated by Botany department on June 04, 2022. The focus of this celebration was towards forming a personal connection between the students and environment. As a part of Environmental Day students cleaned the botanical garden of the college. The activity helped create awareness among the students on the need for tree plantation for the protection of Mother Earth’s green cover. Benefits of planting saplings, how it will lead to a greener, eco-friendly and pollution-free environment was told in the programme.
During the event, everyone pledged to look after the trees planted by them, and also promised to plant trees in the city wherever it is feasible. A total of 47 students from I and II BZC attended the celebration. The celebration was an ideal opportunity to instill the value of social responsibility in the students towards safeguarding trees and forests. The focus of the celebration was towards forming a personal connection between the students and environment.
