It is with profound regret, the Institute deeply condoles the sad and sudden demise of Sri M. Annappa Pai, deceased President, Canara High School Association, and Director, Ace Foods Private Limited who left to the heavenly abode (aged 74) on June 29, 2022 at Bengaluru. In this connection, to pay respectful homage to the departed soul, a Condolence Prayer Meeting was held on Saturday, July 02, 2022 at 9:00 AM in the College Seminar Hall.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Anila, Principal, Canara Evening College said – “Grieving is an intense feeling that we feel when in deep sorrow as in the event of losing someone. A person who departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they continue to stay alive in our hearts and minds. Together with all, we pour in our heartfelt sympathies and pray for the eternal sadgati of the noble soul and our beloved President of Canara High School Association. Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family.”
While expressing the sympathies, Dr. Premalatha V., Principal, Canara College said – “No one wants to lose a loved one, the resulting emotion could tear one apart and is hard for every person. Although no words can take away the pain and ease the loss; but we can only wish and pray for peace and strength in this difficult times. The unexpected passing away of Sri M. Annappa Pai is a significant loss to all his near and dear ones including the entire Canara Family. His contributions and legacy will live on and shine forever.” She also recalled the instances of her official interactions with Sri M. Annappa Pai.
The Past President of Canara College Alumni Association Mr. Gururaj Shet said – “We deeply mourn at the loss of the Head of Canara Family. He will be fondly remembered. I pay my respectful homage to the departed soul. In this hour of grief, let us all pray to the Almighty to bestow fortitude and forbearance to the members of the bereaved family to overcome this unpalatable grief and sorrow.”
The Manager Sri K. Shivananda Shenoy in his condolence message said – “He was a consummate gentleman with simplicity, his fatherly figure, lofty ideals, philanthropic zeal, concern for service, good sense of humor, enterprising acumen and a well-admired leader. His legacy will continue to be the guiding spirit for Canara and a source of inspiration for the generations.”
The Correspondent Sri CA M. Jagannath Kamath while presiding over the meeting, in his condolence message said – “Those we love can never be more than a thought away; for as long as there’s a memory, they live in our hearts. He was a man of intellect and vision who contributed to the well-being of Canara Institutions. A great void has left in the Canara Family. We will deeply miss his warm persona. The greatness of this soul was his humbleness and simplicity. The entire Canara Family stand in complete solidarity with the bereaved family in this hour of grief.”
The attendees prayed and paid floral tributes. The meet concluded by observing two minutes of silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
The meeting witnessed the presence of the faculty and staff members, student representatives, members of the Alumni Association, among others.
Mrs. Vani U. S., Head, Dept. of Kannada compered the programme. The IQAC Coordinators Mrs. Dejamma A. and Mr. Hardik P. Chauhan coordinated the programme.
The Management, Staff, Students, and Alumni of the Institution poured in the grief for the bereaved.
