The YRC unit of our college is working under the guidance of Indian Red Cross society. Student volunteers need to work under the 7 cordial principles of Red Cross. To give an insight about the Indian red cross society and its activities, the YRC unit under the guidance of programme officers Mrs. Smitha M and Mrs. Roopashri K P organized a session, “Insight into YRC” on July 27, 2022. Mr. Arjun, Assistant Professor, St. Aloysius College (Autonomous) Mangalore and also our Alumni was the resource person. In his talk he briefed about the evolution of Indian Red Cross society over the years and its functioning, in providing humanitarian service to the society. He also spoke about the seven principles of Red Cross and their major activities throughout the country. In his speech he also mentioned the necessity of blood donation. To make the volunteers very attentive and active listeners he also conducted quiz through online mode. All the volunteers very actively participated and answered maximum questions. The one with the highest score Mr. Thushar from I BCA was awarded with a gift from the speaker. 60 Volunteers participated in this session.
