NSS Units of Canara College, Mangaluru observed the Sadbhavana Diwas on August 18 2022 on account of Birth Anniversary of Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi .Dr Ganesh Shetty, Assistant Professor of Political Science Department of Canara College was the resource person for the Sadbhavana Day celebration. In his inaugural address he told, “Our country, which is the largest democratic country in the world, has diverse languages, religions, castes ,cultures, and it is necessary to have goodwill among the people to live in peace and harmony. In this regard, such celebrations spreading knowledge about harmony will not only help strengthen multi-faceted India but also make it a Vishwa Guru in the future.” A total of 124 NSS Volunteers benefited from this programme.
NSS Programme Officer Mrs.Seema Prabhu S administered the Sadbhavana Day pledge to the volunteers. Another NSS Programme Officer Mrs Vani U.S. welcomed the resource person followed by the gathering. NSS volunteer Rashmi proposed the vote of thanks. NSS volunteer Parashurama compered the programme.
