Department of Computer Science and Applications organized Departmental Orientation programme for the First Year BCA students on September 01, 2022 at 9.30 A.M in the seminar hall. Students were invited for the programme by sharing Google meet link through class WhatsApp group.
The meeting began with a prayer rendered by Mrs. Rakshitha and Mrs. Vinutha, faculty members of the department. Mrs. Prathima Baliga welcomed the newly joined students of 22nd Batch to the department as members of the BCA family. Mrs. Jayabharathi, Head of the department briefed the objective of introducing the programme and the outcome of it, syllabus pattern, college and departmental rules, the role of mentors, teaching – learning pedagogies and the rules related to attendance.
Mrs. Babitha, Faculty member of the department, informed about the process of admission, fee payment, examination enrolment in UUCMS portal and introduction to the NEP system.
Mrs. Vijetha Bhat, Faculty member of the department explained the methods of conducting the examinations in the college and the university examinations. Dr. Kalpana Prabhu, Department of Hindi explained about the selection of languages of their choice like Hindi, Kannada and Sanskritha. Faculty members of various departments involved in BCA programme, were introduced by Mrs. Prathima Baliga. Mrs. Vijetha Bhat, Faculty of the department and one of the Co-convener of Examination Committee explained the University examination pattern in detail.
Mrs. Rajyalaxmi, Faculty of the department briefed the students on the goal of IT Association, achievement of students so far and the plan of organizing various events during the AY 2022-23.
