On February 26, 2022 the Physics Department had organized a programme on “Thin film Technology scope and Applications.” The lecture was given by Dr. Chandra Shekara Shetty.T Head of the Department of Post-Graduation studies and Research in Physics at St. Aloysius College Mangaluru.
Master of ceremony was by Miss.Swathi Salian of final year B.Sc. The programme began with a prayer by Kavyashree , Padmashree and Swathi Durgekhar of final B.Sc Miss Neetha, the class representative of final year B.Sc welcomed the Chief Guest and gave his introduction to august gathering. Dignitaries on the Dias were Dr. Premalatha.V , The Principal of the Canara College, Mangaluru, Dr. Asha kiran Pakkala Head of the department, Physics, Dr. Yashodhara and Assistant Professor and Mrs. Sukhalatha Assistant Professor.
Dr. Chandra Shekara Shetty.T began with the introduction of thin film and continued with an explanation of its uses and classifications . He also explained its applications. A discussion was held regarding the same. Further he spoke on some research courses thus persuading the audience to take it up and expand their knowledge. Sir also shed some light on carrier related entrance exams.
On moving forward the session was open for interaction, students clarified their queries with Dr. Chandra Shekara Shetty. T. 100 students from B.Sc attended this programme. On behalf of college and students Dr. Asha Kiran Pakkala, the Head of the department, Physics handed over the memento to the Chief Guest as a token of love. Presidential address was given by Dr. Asha Kiran Pakkala. Vikesh of final B.Sc. proposed the vote of thanks.
