A plastic-free campus drive was held on October 19, 2022, by the NSS units in accordance with the instructions of the NSS State Cell. This drive was part of the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan initiative. The goal of the cleaning campaign was to clean up the campus and get rid of all the plastics. Volunteers were led in their work by Mrs. Seema Prabhu S. and Mrs. Vani U. S., programme officers for the NSS. 123 NSS volunteers actively participated in this campus plastic-free campaign.
The Volunteers learnt the importance of clean environment. This campus cleaning taught students that maintaining a clean environment is our responsibility.The programme strived to achieve the core values of contributing to national development and inculcating a sense of value system amongst the participants
