NSS Volunteers of our college volunteered for Niveus Mangalore Marathon organized by Mangalore Runners Club and Canara High School Association on November 06, 2022. The volunteers helped with various tasks such as registration, packet pickup, water stations, course marshalling, finish line support, setting up and taking down equipment and supplies, directing traffic and parking, and coordinating with emergency services. 32 NSS Volunteers, Mrs. Seema Prabhu S. and Mrs. Vani U.S., the Programme Officers, volunteered in this event.
Volunteering at a marathon was a great way to give back to the community and support a cause. It was an opportunity to meet new people, gain valuable experience, and develop new skills. Additionally, volunteers received perks such as t-shirts, snacks, goodies, and other incentives. Volunteering at a marathon was a fulfilling and rewarding experience for volunteers, contributing to the event’s success and safety.
