Outreach Programme – Volunteering at “Kannada Shaala Makkala Habba”

The Keshava Smriti Samvardhana Samiti, Sanghanikethan, Mangaluru organized a two-day fest – ‘Kannada Shaala Makkala Habba’ for Kannada medium school students studying from class 5 to 10 on November 19 & 20, 2022 at Sanghanikethan, Mangaluru.

Youth Red Cross and NSS volunteers of Canara College, Mangaluru joined their hands together in successfully organizing these events by volunteering in each of these events. 162 volunteers worked hard in this two-day fest and they were successful in making the students happier and more self-assured.

Attendees received leadership development training, career guidance and the opportunity to showcase their talents. Volunteers gained expertise in management skills at all levels, as well as how to maintain composure and perform well under pressure.

Overall, for everyone who volunteered during these two days, it was a tremendous opportunity for hands-on learning. These volunteers were coordinated by the Youth Red Cross Program Officers Mrs. Smitha M. and Mrs. Roopashri K.P. and the NSS Program Officers Mrs. Seema Prabhu S. and Mrs. Vani U.S. The volunteers from the YRC and NSS were highly appreciated by the members of the Keshava Smriti Samvardhana Samiti, Sanghanikethan, Mangaluru. This activity contributed to national development, inculcated value system among students and also fostered quest for excellence
