On November 29 and 30, 2022, the Center for Postgraduate Studies in Commerce organized a Bridge Course Program for MCom Previous and Final students to build their confidence and prepare them for the corporate world. The program was conducted in four sessions. The first session, titled “Social Gracing Faux Pas,” was conducted by Mrs. Nanditha Sunil, Assistant Professor, MSNIM Bondel, Mangaluru. Insights on the facets of social grace and various etiquettes necessary for business life were covered during the hour-long interactive session. In the second session, Mr. Arjun Prakash, Assistant Professor, St. Aloysius College, Mangaluru, discussed the elements of personality development.
The third session was on the topic of “Personal branding.” The resource person for the session was Ms. Mamatha Prajapathi, our alumna trainee finance executive at Winman Software India Ltd. She discussed how to do a SWOT analysis to identify one’s strengths and weaknesses.
Mrs. Jyothi Prashanth, HR Consultant and certified trainer, spoke on “Life Skills” during the last session. The session was interactive, with real-time stories and activities.
43 students participated in the program to fulfill the core values such as fostering global competencies and human excellence among students, inculcating a value system among students, and making the quest for excellence a permanent commitment.
