In a competitive job market having an edge over the rest is quite essential. To familiarize the students with this the department of English and the English Association organized a session on Resume Building and Interpersonal Skills on December 2, 2022 at 1:30pm in the seminar hall. Ms.Vidya Shenoy initiated the session by sharing various contents which add value to one’s resume say the hobbies, skills and experiences which an individual needs to acquire during his/her college life and which can add additional weightage to a simple looking resume. She gave detailed information about the use of ATS technology which is now being used as a measure to scan one’s resume in merely 6 seconds without human interference. She also discussed about the importance of various interpersonal skills like communication skills, people’s skills which are necessary when an individual works in a corporate environment.
Ms. Ankitha Srinivas of II BBA welcomed the gathering; Mr. Soorya Adka of II BCom C introduced the guest speaker while Mr. Tushar D of II BCom C proposed the Vote of Thanks. Mrs. Rithika S Das coordinated the session. Ms Arpitha S of II BCom C compered session. 72 students participated in the workshop.
