The Student Welfare Council of Canara College organised the Student Welfare Council Inauguration-2022, on December 05, 2022, at 9.30am, at T.V Raman Pai Convention Centre. Mr. Swaraj Shetty, actor, Kanthara movie, was the Chief Guest of the programme. In his inaugural speech, he said, “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” He also gave the message to the students that they should actively participate in all the extracurricular activities which will help them in overcoming stage fear and shaping their overall personality. Shri CA Jagannath Kamath, Correspondent, Canara College presided over the program. In his presidential remark he said, “A leader should be disciplined, possess a friendly attitude and be a role model for others.” Dr. Premalatha. V, Principal, delivered the introductory speech.
Student Welfare Mentor, Mrs.Sushma R. Shetty introduced the Chief Guest. Ms. Madhushree, Student Welfare Mentor read the list of Secretaries and Joint Secretaries of various associations and administered the oath to all the office bearers of Student Welfare Council. Mrs. Swathi Nayak, Student Welfare Mentor was also present on the occasion.
Mr. Abhin Bangera, President, Student Welfare Council, welcomed the gathering and Mr. Bantwal Amogh Baliga, Secretary, proposed the vote of thanks. Akshay Bhat, III B.Com, compered the programme. Altogether 800 students and 50 staff members took part in this programme. This program strives to inculcate the value system, fostering global competence and quest for excellence.
