On account of “Bharatheeya Bhasha Diwas’’ Hindi & Sanskrit Associations jointly organized a programme on “Bharatheeya Bhasha-Mahathv’’ in seminar hall of our college on December 8, 2022. Dr. Parashuram G. Malage was the Resource Person of the programme. He stated that India is a country where different cultures and traditions are followed by the people. We speak different languages and each language has its own rich heritage and cultural importance. It is the way by which people communicate with one another, build relationships and create a sense of unity in diversity. Even though we speak different languages, follow different cultures and traditions, we are all one and united under our one Indian tricolor. He further added that languages generate cohesiveness among the people. It is the most effective medium to express our feelings, thoughts and desires.
To mark this important day, students under the guidance of Mrs. Sujatha G. Nayak, Convenor of Hindi Sangh, creatively brought out the distinct flavor of each Indian language. Students of I B. Com A and B wrote “Good Morning” on a chart paper in many different languages, whereas II BCA students wrote their names in different scripts. The students of I BCA spoke in different languages. Ms. Sakshi of I B. Com B wrote a poem related to Bharatheeya Bhasha. The video clippings of the various activities done by the students to celebrate “Bharatheeya Bhasha Diwas’’ was played at the beginning of the programme. 83 students were benefited by this programme. Dr. Kalpana Prabhu J., Head of the Department, Hindi, Mrs. Sujatha G. Nayak, Convenor of Hindi Sangh and Mrs. Chethana, Convenor of Sanskrit Sangh were also present. Shrajana was the master of ceremony. Ms. Manasvi and Ms. Sonali rendered the prayer, Mr. Kalpesh Tendel welcomed and introduced the guest and Ms. Anushree proposed the vote of thanks.
