Every year on December 10, Human Rights Day is celebrated, globally, to create awareness and mobilize political will to promote respect for the rights and freedoms enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1948.
In order to celebrate this significant day, the Human Rights Cell of our college organized an awareness programme on ‘Human Rights’ on December 10, 2022. The distinguished resource person for the programme was Dr. Ashwini P., Assistant Professor in Law, S.D.M. Law College, Mangaluru. While speaking on the topic ‘Human Rights – A General Overview’, she emphatically stressed that every individual of this civilized society must inculcate human values in their life and only then we can minimize the violation of human rights in India. 56 students participated in the awareness programme.
