The Centre for Post Graduate Studies in Commerce came up with the unique idea of Custom Merchandise sale at the Canara Global Alumni Meet 2022 which was to be held on December 24, 2022, at Canara High School, ASRP, Mangaluru. M.Com students, as a part of experiential learning, created three businesses to display their merchandise at the Global Alumni Meet. After the business launch of “CAN-GROW,” “AIKYAM “and” CAN-LAND” on December 19, 2022, these companies developed customised Canara Merchandise products. The products include mugs, caps, t-shirts, pens, pen holders, mobile holders, note books, water bottles, key chains, badges, fridge magnets, flower pots, and handmade book marks. These are fascinating custom-made Canara products containing the Canara Education Institutional Logo.
Canara Global Alumni Meet, 2022 – This massive event was attended by over 1,000 alumni of Canara Educational Institutions. The primary goal of this merchandise was to evoke a nostalgic sense of being a proud student of this prestigious institution. Apart from that, our students got an opportunity to learn important skills such as how to buy and sell custom merchandise, how to interact with customers, and to manage their finances. This exhibition trade helped them learn the ropes of the business world and allowed them to showcase their creativity and ingenuity, which is an important skill for any entrepreneur. 43 students took part in this activity. This programme achieved the core values of contribution to national development, fostered global competencies and human excellence among students, promoted the use of technology for a green environment and elicited quest for excellence.
