Enrollment Campaign and Drive for Yuva Nidhi Scheme

In consonance with the directives of the District Collector, Dakshina Kannada District, and as per the instructions of the affiliating University, and the Office of the Regional Joint Director, Department of Collegiate Education, Mangaluru Region, Mangaluru, an enrollment campaign and drive for Yuva Nidhi Scheme – A flagship guarantee initiative of the Government of Karnataka, was organized by the institute on January 08 and 09, 2023 at the College Campus and also through institutional social media handles.
To promote and also to seek the enrolment from the eligible candidates, the following initiatives were undertaken by the Cell at the institute level :
• Attended a Video Conference Meeting of the Principals and TPOs convened by the Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri, in connection with Registration of the Graduates under Yuva Nidhi Yojana, held on January 05, 2024; and a subsequent Video Conference Meeting of the Principals and TPOs convened by the District Collector, to review the follow-up of Registration of the Graduates under Yuva Nidhi Yojana, held on January 08, 2024.
• A Google Form seeking the data of career progression of the students from the Batch 2023 passed-out was administered.
• The institutional data for Yuva Nidhi Registration in Dakshina Kannada was filled in the Excel Sheet circulated by the Office of the Regional Joint Director, Department of Collegiate Education, Mangaluru Region, Mangaluru.
• An appeal to enroll along with the creative flyers giving the details of Scheme, details pertaining to steps for enrolment on “Seva Sindhu Guarantee Portal” among others were disseminated through institutional social media platforms.
• Necessary directions and needful assistance was provided to the candidates who visited the campus for the enrollment process.
• A video clipping in the vernacular language by a passed-out student of the institute sharing his views about the scheme was also shared with the Authorities concerned.
About 35 candidates have enrolled themselves to avail the benefit of the scheme.
