The Student welfare council of the college celebrated National Youth Day on January 12,2023. The guest for the programme was Ms. Akshaya Gokhale, Lecturer in Physics, Karkala. Ms. Sheethal Pai, Vice president of the student council, welcomed and introduced the guest to the august gathering. A floral tribute was offered to the photo of Swami Vivekananda by all the dignitaries on the dais. Ms. Akshaya Gokhale, in her speech, spoke about the significance of celebrating National Youth Day and said that if the youth of India is leading on a path of development, only then India will develop. Great importance aims to distribute the ideas and ideals of the Swami Vivekananda among the youth of India. It is a great way to wake up the boundless energy of the youth as their extensive efforts to make the country develop. In her presidential address, the Principal, Dr. Premalatha V., said that the National Youth Day celebration inspires younger generations to develop innovative ideas and plans to make India a developed nation. Ms. Anushree Prabhu rendered the vote of thanks. The programme ended with the National Anthem. Around 800 students participated in the programme.
