To provide an opportunity to develop teamwork abilities and bridge the gap between academia and knowledge, the Department of Chemistry organized a Science quiz competition for BSc and BCA students.
Quiz prelims –The written round was conducted on January 18, 2023 by Ms. Sheethal Pai and Ms. Shivani S, III BSc Students. It consisted of 30 MCQ questions. Each question carried one mark, and there was no negative marking. 29 teams (58 students) enthusiastically enrolled and participated in the quiz, and 9 were selected for the finals.
Quiz finals were conducted on January 25, 2023 in room No.2 in 2 rounds. The first round was a written round consisting of solved crosswords. The 5 finalist teams were selected for the second round and given different team codes. The codes were as follows, i.e., Helium, Neon, Argon, Krypton, and Radon. The Second round consisted of 4 sub rounds, i.e., Isro (question-related to ISRO), Buzzer (Buzzer round), Rapid fire (Rapid fire round), and Visual (Pictorial round). All five teams participated enthusiastically and scored a good score.

Team Neon (Kalpesh and Darshan of II BSc) bagged I place
Team Helium (Deekshitha and Anusha I BSc) and Krypton (Vidhyabhushan and Narasimha Puranik of II BSc) shared II place
Team Argon (Shravya and Shreeraksha B of II BSc) bagged II place
