On account of College Day and Golden Jubilee Celebration of Canara College, Department of Kannada organized a novel competition named ‘Master of Ceremony Competition’ for students on April 06, 2023 in room no. 8. In this competition, three topics were provided well in advance and the participants could choose any one of them and prepare the Master of Ceremony speech for the same. The three topics given were:
- Pustaka bidugade kaaryakrama (Book release program)
- Yaavudaadarondu rashtreeya habba (National festival – any one)
- Kannada Rajyothsava
Mrs. Savitha D. K., Department of Economics and Mr. Shridhar Prabhu, Administrative Staff were the judges of the competition. 11 students actively participated in the competition.
Ms. K Chaithanya S. of I BCA bagged the first prize. Mr. Parashurama U. of III B.Com secured second place. Ms. Manaswi of I BSC won the third prize. Mrs. Vani U. S., HOD, Department of Kannada and Mrs. Shailaja P. were present.
