To nurture the potential of our students and showcase their hidden talents and skills, the Fine Arts Association of our college organized a dance competition on April 15, 2023, on the occasion of the 50th Annual Day celebration. The competition was held in various categories, including Classical Solo, Western Solo, Folk Group, and Western Group, with a total of 158 students actively participating. The participants dressed in colorful costumes and twirled around the stage with great exuberance and zeal, setting the stage on fire with their thrilling performances. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of our Principal, teaching and non-teaching staff, and students.
The dance competition was judged by Mr. Vinoothan, an assistant professor from St. Joseph Engineering College, and Ms. Trisha Shetty, a Bharatanatyam and theatre artist. The competition witnessed a huge turnout of over 600 students who were thoroughly entertained by the performances. The best three solo dancers and group performances were awarded prizes to recognize their exceptional talent. The judges appreciated all the participants for their dedication and hard work.
The event was successfully coordinated by the Convener of the Fine Arts Association, Mrs. Jayashree Shetty, along with Co-convenors Mrs. Laxmi Hegde, Mrs. Soujanya D, Mrs. Keerthi Alva, Mrs. Aditi Nayak, and Mrs. Kavitha Ganesh, who put in a lot of effort to make the competition a grand success.
