Climate change is affecting all of us. It is necessary that we come together and invest in our planet. In this regard, Science Association organised “Plant and Click”, a seven-day national level online campaign in observance with Earth Day- 2023 from April 22, 2023 to April 28, 2023 under the banner of G20 and 50 years Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Canara College. This activity aimed to save humanity from the climate crisis and encourage a greener planet.
28 individuals participated in the online campaign. Certificate of appreciation was provided to all the participants.The activity met all its objectives as it was successful in creating environmental awareness on climate change and protects our planet by planting trees that will help to reduce pollution and global warming. The activity strived to contribute towards national development, inculcate human values and elicit quest for excellence amongst the participants
A total of 20 NSS volunteers took part in this jatha. Mrs. Seema Prabhu S. and Mrs. Vani U.S. coordinated this jatha under the guidance of Dr. Nagarthana K.V., NSS Coordinator of Mangalore University.By fostering a sense of responsibility and civic duty, the NSS volunteers have played a crucial role in building a more informed and engaged electorate. Their commendable efforts will undoubtedly contribute to a healthier democracy and a more empowered citizenry.
