The Commerce and Management Association organized a visit to Manipal Power Press on May 18, 2023, The team of 37 students was warmly received by Mr. Nagaraj B., the Manager of Manipal Power Press. He provided an insightful demonstration on the color management system and elucidated the diverse range of services, the process flow, and production scheduling. The students had the opportunity to explore the pre-press printing and post-press divisions, where they witnessed the intricate transformation of raw information into the final printable script. They also had a chance to observe the hardware, machinery, and various other non-technical assets of the press.
Furthermore, the officials at Manipal Power Press shared a statistical report on daily newspaper production, addressing the students’ queries regarding the quality of the paper used, the printing machine’s capacity, and contingency plans for emergency changes during production. Accompanied by the staff conveners, Mrs. Usha Nayak and Mrs. Ashalatha, the students had an enriching experience during their visit.
On the return journey to the college, the students were taken to Salumarada Timmakka Tree Park in Manipal. They explored the park, admiring the diverse array of trees and medicinal plants, capturing photographs, and engaging in recreational activities.
