Celebration of World Environment Day was organized at Canara College Botanical Garden by Rovers and Rangers Canara College in collaboration with the Department of Botany and the Nature Club on June 5, 2023. The event aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation, encourage active participation from students and club members, contribute to the greening of the campus, and promote a sustainable environment.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the 12 students of Rovers and Rangers and members of the Nature Club. One of the main highlights of the celebration was the planting of saplings, which were brought by the students. The World Environment Day celebration on the campus was a memorable and impactful event, reminding everyone of their responsibility to protect and preserve our planet for future generations.
Mrs. Dhanashri Kulkarni, Mr. Pramod Kumar P.S, the Convenors of Rovers and Rangers Ms. Madhushree, the Head of the Department of Botany, and Mrs. Nishvitha Shetty, the Convenor of the Nature Club, were present.
