On September 11,2023 Canara Educational Institutions organized a session titled “India Rising from Inner Strength : This is India’s Time” for the first-year students, featuring the distinguished speaker Sri Chakravarthy Sulibele. During the session, Sri Sulibele noted the significance of the date 11/9, a day etched in the memory of Indians, as it marked Swami Vivekananda’s historic address at the Chicago Dharma Conference. His address incorporated India’s defense capabilities, educational system, and economic status.
He expressed his belief that India’s internal strength allows it to stand firm amid global economic challenges. The event saw the presence of several prominent individuals, including Sri. CA M. Jagannath Kamath, Correspondent, Canara College, Dr. Premalatha V., Principal; Dr. Deepti Nayak, Administrator; Sri K. Sivananda Shenoy, Manager; Canara College; and Sri. Naresh Shenoy, a Member of the Governing Board of the C.H.S Association. The Student Welfare Council of Canara College, represented by Mrs. Babitha S, Mrs. Smitha M, and Mr. Avinash, played a pivotal role in organizing the event. Mr. Abhishek Patil extended a warm welcome to the gathering, while Ms. Sambhrama had the honor of presenting the vote of thanks, and the program was hosted by Mr. Likith. A total of 330 students benefitted from the session. The session imparted a set of values and encouraged contributing to national development.
