Department of Botany organized Poster making competition on account of “World Wild life day” on October 06, 2023 at 3.30 pm in the botany lab for the students of Canara College. Observation of Wild life day is dedicated to raising awareness about endangered species, wildlife conservation, and the protection of natural habitats. It serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving and appreciating the diverse wildlife that inhabits our planet. The theme for poster making competition was “Wild life conservation”. Total of 20 students participated in the competition. Dr. Ashakiran pakkala, H.O.D, Department of Physics and convener of Science association and Mrs. Sushama. C, H.O.D, Department of Zoology and convenor of Nature club judged the competition. Yuthika. J. karkera and Bhargavi HK of I B.Sc won first prize. Shravyashree U and Sowmya shenoy of III B.Sc won Second prize. There was a tie between two groups for the third prize. Venkatesh and Gururaj of III B.Sc and Rithika and Namitha of I B.Sc won the third prize.
