The Department of Chemistry organized a Poster-making activity on “Awareness of Environment Pollution” for first-year BCom and BBA students who chose Environmental Chemistry as an open elective. This two-hour activity took place on November 23 and 25, 2023, where students formed teams of 5-6 members. A total of 47 students, divided into 7 teams, actively participated in creating posters highlighting specific pollution issues and their impact on ecosystems, biodiversity, and overall environmental health.
The goal was to motivate students to act by showcasing the importance of individual and collective efforts in reducing pollution through activities like recycling, resource conservation, waste reduction, and supporting environmental policies. By focusing attention on the severity of pollution problems, this activity aimed to inspire sustained efforts in pollution reduction and environmental conservation. These efforts have the potential to create long-term positive impacts on ecosystems and public health.
