In recognition of Cyber Security Awareness Month, a session on Cyber Security Awareness was organized by the IT Association on November 29, 2023, in Classroom 30 at 3:30 PM. Ms. Rhea Uppala, Assistant Professor at Srinivas University in Mangaluru, served as the resource person. In her talk, she highlighted the importance of cyber security in the modern world, discussed various cyber threats, and delved into social engineering. She also emphasized the significance of cyber security skills in the job market and conducted practical exercises on file signature analysis. The members of the association engaged in a question-and-answer session to seek clarifications on their queries.
Ms. Ganvi, a member of the IT Association, welcomed the guest and the gathering. Mr. Sajan, another member of the IT Association, proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Ganvi and Ms. Prathika, members of the Association, rendered the invocation. Ms. Manasavi Shetty, a member of the IT Association, compered the program. Mrs. Jayabharathi K. P., Head of the Department of Computer Science and Applications; Mrs. Adithi Nayak; and Mrs. Vinutha, the Convenor of the IT Association, were also present. Altogether, 40 members participated in the program.
