In a noteworthy community service initiative, 43 National Service Scheme Volunteers of Canara College, Mangaluru actively volunteered at Sime Arasu Kambla, Mulki, on December 03, 2023 for one day, contributing their time and efforts towards cleaning the vicinity of the Sime Arasu Kambla.
The NSS Volunteers helped the organisers of the Kambla by cleaning the vicinity, and entrance road for the upcoming big event- the Sime Arasu Kambla, a traditional culture of our State. They toiled in the hot sun to remove the unwanted plants, bushes and stones. With the help of cleaning implements, all the volunteers together meticulously completed the assigned task, thus facilitating the smooth organisation of the forthcoming programme.
The selfless efforts of the Volunteers have set an inspiring example of how small acts of service can contribute significantly to the welfare of the society. The NSS Programme Officers, Mrs. Seema Prabhu S. and Mrs. M. Keerthana Bhat coordinated this extension activity.
