December 28, 2023

Chetana Child Development Centre has a wide range of products or services to cater to the varied requirements of its customers. The staff at this establishment is courteous and prompt in providing any assistance. As a part of their involvement in community engagement and social work, the Youth Red Cross unit of our college organized an extension activity called “Paper Bag Making” on December 26, 2023, to join hands with the physically challenged children in preparing paper bags using newspapers and magazines. The revenue generated by selling these paper bags was used for the various activities of the school.

All the YRC volunteers participated in this activity and gained diversified knowledge about the challenges faced by various children with disabilities and the way of handling their needs. Those children exhibited distinct creative abilities in extracurricular activities, which the volunteers greatly appreciated. Volunteers also expressed their feelings about the school and the children who were challenged. They expressed a desire to continue this event in small groups throughout the year. This activity was coordinated under the guidance of Youth Red Cross Programme Officers, Mrs. Roopashri K. P. and Mrs. Rashmi.
