On account of National Youth Day, the M.Com Department organized an extension activity at Besant Higher Primary School, Mangalore. Six M.Com Final and M.Com, previous students successfully conducted a session on the contribution of youths to the development of a country based on Swami Vivekananda’s ideology.
Mrs. Prabhavathi, Headmistress, Besant Higher Primary School, welcomed the gathering. Students highlighted Swami Vivekananda’s ideals, such as conviction of the powers of goodness, absence of jealousy and suspicion, and helping all who are trying to be and do good, by narrating his childhood inspiring stories.
They were also made to sing Vivekananda’s song, which built enthusiasm among students to follow up on his ideologies and philosophies.
M.com student represented Vivekananda’s thought ‘Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached’ by wearing his traditional outfit, which captured the attention of the audience.
The responses from 75 students were overwhelming. Mrs. Shwetha Pai M. Mrs. Megha, faculty, M.Com Department, directed and coordinated the smooth conduct of the activity.
