Mangalore University Inter – Collegiate Mangalore Zone Cricket Tournament for Men “Dayanand Kamath Memorial Trophy” was inaugurated on March 25, 2024 at Nehru Maidan, Mangalore. The event took place from March 25 to April 06, 2024 saw enthusiastic participation from various colleges. The tournament was inaugurated by Mrs. Ashwini Kamath, Governing Council Member, C.H.S. Association, Co-coordinator, Canara Sports Academy. The tournament was presided over by Sri. CA M. Jagannath Kamath, Correspondent, Canara College, Mangaluru. And our Principal Dr. Premalatha V. were present during the inaugural ceremony. The Cricket Tournament commenced with the release of a ballon by Mrs. Ashwini Kamath. This gesture marked the beginning of an event filled with excitement and sportsmanship. A total number of 22 teams participated in the tournament, showcasing their cricketing prowess and sportsmanship. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from various teams and individuals.
The valedictory ceremony for the Mangalore University Inter-Collegiate Mangalore Zone Cricket Tournament (Men) for Dayanand Kamath Memorial Rolling Trophy 2023- 24 was held on April 6, 2024.The Chief guest was Mr. Vikram Pai, Governing Council Member, C.H.S. Association. The function was presided over by Dr. Gerald Santhosh D’ Souza, Director Physical Education, Dean, Mangalore University. Mr. Kasturi Balakrishna Pai, Tournament Secretary DKCA, Dr. Premalatha V., Principal and Mr. Avinash, Physical Education Director were also present.
Sacred Heart College, Madanthyar was the winners and SDM College of Business Management, Mangalore was the runners of this tournament.
