Human Rights Cell of our college has organized a seminar on “Arbitrary Detention” on 13-4-2024. The Resource person of the event was Ms. Meghana. R.Anand, Advocate Mangalore, has rightly spoken about Arbitrary Detention, which is detention of a person without any reason or ground or trail in the court of law. It violates the basic Fundamental rights of the people specifically the personal freedom. It also go against the UN “Universal Declaration on Human Rights 1948”.
Dr.Ganesh.Shetty.U, Convener of Human Rights Cell and Mrs. Keerthi Alva, co- convener of the Cell also present on this occasion. Around 100 students were actively took part in the programme.
