The Centre for PG Studies in Commerce organized the release of the ‘Mata parva’ – a short movie on awareness of voting rights made by the students of M.Com Department on April 22, 2024.
With an intention to spread awareness on the voting rights and to encourage the society to exercise their vote, Students of M.Com Department came up with a Short movie named ‘Mata Parva’. It conveyed the message that every single vote holds significant power in shaping our future, and it is crucial to recognize that elections are not just holidays. The movie is available on YouTube and Instagram for public watching. The ‘Mata Parva’ was directed by Mr. Parashuram of Previous M.Com. Filmed and edited by Sharath R K of Previous M.com and the casting involved 13 students of M.Com Department.
The short movie was released by Dr. Ganesh Shetty, the head of Political Science Department. He also addressed the audience on the importance civil participation in the Lok Sabha Elections and gave the students the words of encouragement and appreciation. Dr. Premalatha V, Principal of the college expressed her sincere appreciation for the creativity and dedication shown by the students in making the short movie.
63 students of M.com Department participated in the program.
