An Awareness video making on “From Waste to Wonder: Embracing a Sustainable Lifestyle”

June 12, 2024

To celebrate World Environment Day, the Department of Chemistry organized a video-making activity “From Waste to Wonder: Embracing a Sustainable Lifestyle” for the first and second-year BSc students. The objective was to create short videos (2-5 minutes) on how to support the environment by focusing on water and energy conservation, waste management, and sustainable hygiene practices.

Thirty students formed four teams and each team picked a topic from the list. They were asked to make their videos engaging and practical, showing real-life examples and giving useful tips. They used case studies to show how sustainable living can have positive effects.

Ms. Sonali from II BSc combined all the videos and submitted them on June 12, 2024. The final video was then shared in the class WhatsApp group. This activity helped students learn more about environmental issues and encouraged them to act. By making and sharing these videos, the students promoted sustainability and became ambassadors for a greener future.
