On September 23, 2024, a highly engaging session on Communication and Leadership was conducted by Sri Uday Kumar M., Retd. Vice Principal, SDM Law College, Mangaluru. The session emphasized core aspects of leadership such as personality development, emotional maturity, adaptability, stress management, and critical thinking.
The program commenced with a prayer, followed by a welcome address by Ms. Raksha, Joint Secretary, Student Welfare Council, and an introduction of the resource person by Mr. Aaryaman Prabhu, President, Student Welfare Council.
Dr. Premalatha V., the Principal, provided an introductory message, after which Sri Uday Kumar initiated his interactive session. Key topics included the significance of character traits like honesty and integrity, adaptability using the principles of “Adopt, Accommodate, and Adjust,” and the importance of commanding respect through actions rather than authority. Practical strategies for stress and time management and fostering a positive mindset were also discussed.
The session concluded with Sri Uday Kumar reinforcing the importance of lifelong learning and critical thinking for effective leadership. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Krathika, a member of the executive committee. The program left 65 participants inspired with practical insights to improve their personal and professional lives.
