October 19, 2024

The Parent-Teacher Meeting of the College was held at T V Raman Pai Convention Centre, Mangalore, at 3:00 pm on October 19, 2024. It brought together parents and teachers to discuss important updates and expectations for the academic year.
Dr. Bhagyashree Bhandary, consultant psychiatrist, was the resource person. Her expertise added significant value to the event, as she shared insightful perspectives on mental health and emotional well-being for both parents and students in today’s fast-paced world. In her address, she highlighted the importance of avoiding labels such as “the smart one” or “the athletic one,” explaining that these can limit a child’s potential. She also stressed the significance of positive reinforcement, reminding parents not to overlook acknowledging good choices, which helps build self-esteem. Dr. Bhandary encouraged parents to teach their teenagers how to regulate emotions independently and to set realistic, attainable goals to foster resilience and confidence.
An interactive session followed, where parents had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions with Dr. Bhandary and the college authorities. This session addressed various concerns related to student behavior, academic challenges, and emotional support, creating a space for open dialogue.
The principal, Dr. Premalatha V., delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the significance of discipline and adherence to the college code of conduct. She encouraged students to excel academically while upholding the core values of the institution. Dr. Deepthi Nayak, Administrator, graced the occasion.
