“If you can’t do great things, do small things with great love.”
With a service-oriented intent, the Department of Business Administration of Canara College, on October 25, 2024, wholeheartedly volunteered at Chethana Child Development Centre, Mangaluru. A total of 32 students enthusiastically helped the workers and inmates at Chethana in preparing paper packets and also enjoyed painting the earthen lamps. The sale of these things would help the organization generate some income. The students also donated some stationery items to the students of the school.
This altruistic act provided the students with a practical experience of mingling and connecting with the special children of Chethana Child Development Centre. It also helped them learn new skills and provided them with a renewed sense of creativity, motivation, and fulfillment. Mrs. Seema Prabhu S. Head, Department of Business Administration, and Mrs. Laxmi Hedge, Faculty, too, joined in the noble cause of community service.● This outreach programme served to contribute to national development and inculcate a value system amongst the participants.
