An Expert Lecture on “Consumer Disputes on Medical Negligence” was organised by Women Empowerment Cell in association with Consumer Forum and Human Resource Management Association of our college on September 23, 2015. The resource person Mr. Vinayak G. Shet, an Entrepreneur and an Advocate by Profession explained the concept of medical negligence and its consequences, he gave real life example of different medical negligence cases which has taken place in Mangalore and how it was handled in the court. He also provided knowledge about the remedies available against medical negligence to an individual.
The session was very interesting and informative. 45 members of Women Empowerment Cell along with the staff co-ordinators Mrs. Ashalatha and Mrs. Smitha M. participated in this session.This session created awareness among the students regarding the different types of Medical Negligence, actions to be taken and remedies available in case of medical negligence.
