Lakshya 2017, a one day interclass commerce fest was held on September 12, 2017. Lakshya was inaugurated at the seminar hall of the college at 09.30 A.M, by the chief guest Sri Vinayak Shet. The programme was presided over by the principal, Canara College, Dr.K.V.Malini.
In his inaugural address, Sri Vinayak Shet emphasized that knowledge brings confidence and confidence along with self discipline is very essential to survive in this competitive world. He also spoke about his experiences taking part in various fests and described how they had benefitted him.
The events began with ice-breaker at 10.00 A.M. Various events like Best Manager, Marketing, Finance, H.R. and Quiz were held. The rounds of these events began after the ice-breaker. The first round of all the events was conducted on the previous day. The rounds were designed and planned by the event heads in such a way as to test the Conceptual knowledge, Application of concepts, communication and Presentation skills of the contestants. 80 students participated in the program.
