The one day camp for the NSS volunteers was held at Abbettu in Bantwal Taluk on July 23, 2017. 110 students with 2 officers participated in the camp. The participants assembled at Canara College and travelled to Abbettu by Canara Engineering college bus. Morning breakfast was served in Government Higher Primary School, Abbettu. The students were divided in groups and the shramadhan spot was allotted to different groups. The work included removing the weeds, laying of pipelines. During the camp Vanamahotsava was observed by planting the saplings. All the students participated in the shramadhan. In the afternoon competitions were conducted.
