Covid-19 Pandemic has strongly hit the social life of the community and consequently hampered the Economy. In any Economy, health care is of primary concern. Therefore, a virtual webinar has been jointly organized by the Sports and Games Association and the Department of Business Administration in association with Sri. Pathanjali Yoga Shiksahana Prathistana Mangalore ® on June 21,2021, the 7th International Day of Yoga.
Sri. Ekanath Baliga, the President of Sri. Pathanjali Yoga Shiksahana Prathistana Mangalore ® was the Chief Guest as well as demonstrator. He is in speech upheld how we cornered the importance of Yoga, Ayurveda, Music culture, which were all originated in India but, which has been followed by other countries and enriching themselves. Looking at them, now we are learning how important to retain and maintain these practices and manifest the happiness of mankind. Yoga is not a religion. It is a practice, it is through regular practice, we can keep away the diseases and disabilities and manage a good life. He also demonstrated best yoga practices during the webinar, which has been followed and presented by student participants of the webinar.
Sri CA M. Vaman Kamath, Treasurer, C.H.S. Association Mangaluru, in his presidential address stated how the meditation, pranayama and asanas rejuvenate us and help us to perform better as human being and also expressed his happiness that both, himself and the Chief Guest Sri.Ekanth Baliga being alumni of this college shared the dais for educating the youngsters about Yoga practices. Principal Dr. Premalatha V addressed the audience. Mrs. Pushpalatha, HoD, Department of Business Administration introduced and welcomed the guests and gathering. Mr. Avinash, Physical Director proposed vote of thanks and Ms. Priyanka, faculty, BBA compered the programme. 59 students participated in the programme.
