The virtual workshop on “Financial Literacy and investors awareness’ organised by the department of Commerce Canara college, Mangalore in association with Bombay Stock Exchange was held on July 1,2021 from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm through Google meet. The workshop was attended by 65 students. The resource person of the workshop Mr Chaitanya Kittur, Assistant professor Department of M. Com JSS Dharwad and certified resource person by SEBI since 2019.The resource person highlighted the need to have more self-regulated and systematic saving habits to secure one’s financial future. He discussed the concept of Investments and the various awareness of Investments He also elaborated on various financial instruments and how investors can safeguard their hard earned money by dealing with recognized entities when it comes to investment related matters. He has explained the principles of wise investments and also informed the students about the importance of mutual fund. Mrs Sushma R Shetty compered the session.
