The Swachhta Pakhwada launched by Government of India, is a fortnight-long program observed to ensure mass participation of citizens in Swachhta activities and to truly transform Swachh Bharat into a citizen’s movement. The NSS Units of our college observed the Swachatha Pakhwada Programme from August 01 to August 14, 2021 as per the directives of GOI.
In the current times of global pandemic, it has been ensured that the electronic version of pledge was made available to all the NSS Volunteers to access the pledge remotely and take the pledge from their homes. This innovative intervention has enabled the Volunteers to take the Swachhta Pledge while observing COVID-19 protocols. At the same time all the 230 volunteers involved in the cleanliness drive in their neighbourhood as well as in the college campus by following the SOP of CoVID 19. This programme was very well appreciated by the NSS Office of Mangalore University. This activity was coordinated by Mrs. Seema Prabhu S., NSS Programme Officer of the College.
