NSS Units of Canara College, Mangaluru observed the Sadbhavana Diwas on August 20, 2021 on account of birth anniversary of Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi. In this regard, there were two activities carried out at the college level by involving NSS Volunteers and Staff members of the College. Mrs. Seema Prabhu S.., NSS Programme Officer oriented the NSS Volunteers and staffs regarding the importance of observing Sadbhavana Diwas by highlighting, it is to avoid violence and to promote goodwill among people. Thereafter, the pledge was led by Mrs. Kavyashree K., NSS Programme Officer to Volunteers and faculty members.
This ceremony was followed by a Webinar on “Bharathiya Samvidhana Mathu Bhavaikyathe”. The resource person was Prof. Shanmukha K.A., Assistant Professor in Kannada, SSSS GFG College, Channagiri, Davangere University. He highlighted the importance of promoting national integration and communal harmony among people of all religion and languages. The webinar was presided by Dr. Premalatha V., Principal of the college. 78 NSS Volunteers of Canara College, Mangaluru and SSSS GFG College, Channagiri attended this webinar. The webinar was coordinated by Mrs. Seema Prabhu S. and Mrs. Kavyashree K., NSS Programme Officers of the College.
