An add-on course named ‘Direct Tax, GST, and ITR filing via E-filing Portal’ was organised by the Centre for PG Studies in Commerce. Sri. C A Vaman Kamath, Treasurer, CHS Association, Mangaluru, officially opened the course on December 01, 2021 at 3.30 p.m. at Smt. Ratna S. Shenoy Memorial Seminar Hall. In his remarks, the inaugurator emphasised the necessity of putting concepts into practise and the value of the course in students’ careers. Mrs. Dejamma A., the head of the Commerce and Management department, encouraged the students to take advantage of the opportunity to learn the course. Dr.Premalatha V., the Principal, presided over the event and encouraged students to make the most of the academic year 2021-22 by actively participating in the department of M Com’s academic activities and developing excellent resumes that would assist them in advancing their careers.
The course was designed to assist students in grasping the fundamental principles, definitions, and words connected to direct tax and GST, as well as to enable them to file ITRs via the E-Filing portal on their own. The programme aims to achieve core values such as professional development and technology promotion. The course’s planned goal is that students will be able to calculate taxable income and E-filing of ITRs.
21 students participated in the programme. Ms. Amrutha of II M Com welcomed everyone, Ms. Deekshitha of II M Com gave the vote of gratitude, and Ms. Anvik of II M Com hosted the event. Mrs. Swathi Nayak has coordinated the programme.
